The surgery will shortly be commencing flu vaccinations. This year, there are 3 different vaccines- one for patients over 65 years of age, a different one for patients under 65 years old and a nasal vaccine for the under 18s. We are also receiving the vaccines in stages over several weeks. To ensure our patients are vaccinated efficiently we are offering flu vaccinations as follows;

Patients over 65   - please book an appointment with reception. Please ring after 10:30am when the phones are quieter. The appointments are spread over October and November.

Patients under 65  - there is a special flu clinic on Saturday 3rd November from 8:30-12:30 at Churchdown Surgery. You will receive a written invitation to this clinic with further details. This will include children over the age of 10.

Children aged 2 to 3 will receive a separate written  invitation to attend special nurse clinics in the surgery and those children between the ages of 4 and 9 will be vaccinated at school.

We have over 3000 patients to vaccinate over several weeks whilst still running our normal services so please try to help us to help you by following the above arrangements. Although patients can attend a chemist for vaccination, the new vaccine arrangements make it even more important to attend the surgery for this important immunisation.
